I'm taking my own pictures....

Yesterday my daughter came home from school and handed me this piece of paper. I looked at it, then look at it again. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Are you kidding me......prices on the school pictures have gone up and I mean UP.

Looks like we will be playing dress up and taking our own photos. I will get the cheapest package for $15 so she will have a few photos from school but I just can't bring myself to pay $50 just to get a package with a 8x10 in it......too much.
Okay, now that I am done fussing about prices......LOL....I hope everyone has a GREAT WEEKEND.

My goodness that is quite high! Besides you will take better pictures than they can! Go for it!
Enjoy your weekend!

And those school picture packages are still in shoeboxes decades later and you have no idea what to do with an 8 x 10 from fourth grade or so......

Your own pictures will be so much more memorable and fun to look at years down the road.

This is an easy one!!!!

I did the same thing one year when my daughter's pictures didn't work out... And also for our family pix one Christmas.

I've never really liked the bright, washed-out, moon-faced results from "professional" pictures anyway... Nobody actually looks very good in them!

That is a lot of money...especially since some of those school photos are not necessarily 'the best'. I think you can probably do much, much better and it will be an opportunity to perhaps enjoy silly mother/daughter time together. Happy Canadian Thanksgiving from me to you. Hugs.

I agree with msm on the 8 x 10. We only ordered those once. Were so big and awkward...and not even attractive! We usually just ordered enough pics to exchange with her friends.
Oh yeah, like Michelle said...there's Senior pictures...start saving now!
